  • Intro
m a student at the Bussigny’s high school, and our English teacher gave us a second project to study our future (studies, job).
Our teacher explained that we were about to embark on two projects. The first project was on our fears, we had to reflect on our fears; causes, effects and solutions.
we had to make a mindmap with all the elements
This project, centered on the choice of our future profession, would begin with a meeting with our guidance counselor, Mr. Krattinger. The aim of this meeting was to ask any questions we might have about our studies, our future, and other aspects that might help us better understand what awaits us in the professional world.
She then explained that we had to take part in an event called “Forum Horizon”, where there are presentations on professions related to our future career choices.
At first, I must admit that I wasn’t entirely clear about what was expected of us. There were still a lot of grey areas, and I felt a bit lost when faced with the whole project. I had a few general ideas about what I might do later, but nothing very precise or definite.
The English option we had also enabled me to take a step back and think more about the questions I might ask to Mr. Krattinger. Little by little, what had seemed vague became clearer, and I began to project myself more into this project.

This project allowed me to explore various professions and gain clarity on my career choices. Initially uncertain, I gradually found direction through my meeting with the guidance counselor and the Forum Horizon presentations.

The business computing and computer engineering presentations highlighted the balance between technology and management, as well as the differences in academic paths. While the fashion designer session didn’t interest me much, the cybersecurity presentation stood out, especially the roles of Red and Blue Teams and the importance of cryptography.

Overall, this experience helped me refine my interests and better understand the opportunities available. While I still have decisions to make, I now feel more informed and confident about my future path.
