This project was designed to help us think about our future careers and explore different jobs and study paths. During this project, I met a career counselor, attended the Forum Horizon, took notes, prepared questions, and reflected on my skills and interests. After exploring various careers, I decided to focus on the job of Social Media Manager and Marketing.
A social media Manager is responsible for creating, managing and animating content on social networks for a company or individual. His or her main mission is to develop a strong online presence by interacting with the audience, creating publications and analyzing trends to improve brand visibility. One of the main benefits of being a Social Media Manager is the creativity involved. It enables individuals to think out of the box and create content that resonates with audiences. What’s more, the job requires keeping up to date with the latest digital trends and tools, which means there’s always something new to learn.
However, this profession also presents challenges. Social Media Manager have to work fast, always reacting to changing trends, comments and audience behavior. This can sometimes lead to burnout, as they have to maintain a regular publishing schedule, keep up with constant updates and cope with the pressure.
Marketing is a much broader field. A marketing professional can do many things: create ads, organize new product launches, conduct market research, analyze customer habits, or work on a brand’s image. Marketing jobs can include analyzing data, writing slogans, designing visuals or planning major campaigns.
Being a Social Media Manager or marketing professional can be a great career for someone who is creative, curious and comfortable with new technologies – and I think these qualities describe me well. I like communicating, understanding people, and using digital tools to convey ideas. These jobs suit me because they allow me to express my creativity and take on challenges.
